The Chinese (Eastern) Zodiac is made up of twelve different animal symbols. The animals of the Eastern Zodiac are the Rat, the Ox the Tiger, the Rabbit (a.k.a. Hare), the Dragon, the Snake, the Horse, the Ram (a.k.a. sheep or goat), the Monkey, the Rooster, the Dog and the Pig.

The Chinese Zodiac is similar to the Western Zodiac in that each symbol represents a different personality type.

Monkey people are generally known to be cheerful, energetic, clever, generous and highly intelligent problem-solvers.

Rat people are quick witted, friendly and loyal.

Rabbit people tend to have sweet dispositions and prefer to avoid confrontations.

Ox people are patient and caring, with a tendency toward stubbornness.

People born under the sign of the Dragon are said to be talented, self-assured and temperamental.

Snake people can be super sexy and sophisticated, bewitching observers with their irresistible charm.

People who are born under the sign of the Ram tend to be creative, artistic and often stubborn or impractical.


Pig people are known for their patience, intelligence and trustworthiness, as well as their desire for peace and quiet.

People born under the sign of the Rooster are thought to be independent, prompt, practical, and observant.

Those born under the sign of the Horse can be energetic and impatient, often with a tendency toward wanderlust.

People born under the sign of the Goat are said to be mild mannered and kind.
