CAMEL

The dromedary, one-humped, or Arabian camel has a single hump and is well known for its healthy low fat milk, and the Bactrian camel has two humps. They are native to the dry desert areas of western, central and east Asia. Camels live 40-50 years, and can run at speeds of up to 40 mph.

LEMUR

The lemur is a wide-eyed primate species from Madagascar. There are many types of lemurs, ranging in size from 1 ounce to about 22 pounds. Most of them are on the endangered species list. Lemurs have long tails and opposable thumbs, which enable them to grip and climb easily.

GORILLA

Although they are the largest of all primates, gorillas are peace-loving vegetarians with shy and gentle dispositions. The DNA of gorillas is 98%–99% identical to that of humans. Gorillas live in the tropical forests of Africa. Both mountain and lowland gorillas are listed as endangered species. Only a few hundred gorillas are known to exist.

CHIMPANZEE

Also known as chimps, these primates are considered to be the closest living relatives to humans on the evolutionary scale. Unlike gorillas, chimps are aggressive carnivores who must be approached with extreme caution. Chimps are very strong, and can weigh up to 150 pounds.

TREE FROG

A tree frog is any frog species that spends a major portion of its lifespan in trees. These tiny creatures are found all over the world. Although typically bright green (for camouflage), tree frogs can often change their color as needed.
