PILOT HOLE: A small, predrilled hole that guides a nail or a screw.

PILOT LIGHT: A small, continuous flame that ignites gas or oil burners as needed.

PINE: A somewhat plain looking wood with very little grain pattern. Pine comes in several varieties, including Loblolly, Ponderosa, Sugar, White, and Yellow.
Pine is a soft wood, typically used for moldings and trim work.
