Fast And Easy Ice Cream

One of America's favorite Sweet Recipes, this 15-minute Ice Cream recipe is not only the fastest way to make Ice Cream, but if you follow the directions all by yourself, you can burn about 50 calories making it.

That leaves room for more Sweet Recipes.

Sweet!

Calorie counts are also included here for your convenience.

The key ingredient is rock salt. NO, the rock salt does NOT go into the Ice Cream itself, so don't worry!

The rock salt is only used to make the Ice Cream ingredients freeze faster.

Double the ingredients listed here if you want to make a larger quantity of Ice Cream.

Here's how it's done:

Ingredients                                       Calories

  • 4 Tbsp heavy whipping cream      200
  • 1 Tbsp white sugar                       50
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract                     6
  • 4 Tbsp Rock salt, divided
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 lidded container
  • ziplock bags

TOTAL CALORIES                               256

Directions:

  1. Put whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract into one of the ziplock bags.
  2. Blend the ingredients by gently squeezing and moving the bag.
  3. Fold the air out of the bag carefully, then zip-seal the bag securely.
  4. Place the bag inside the other bag, fold out the air, and seal the second bag.
  5. Fill the lidded plastic bowl about halfway with ice.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of rock salt to the ice.
  7. Place the doubled plastic bag inside the bowl, and cover with more ice, and another 2 tablespoons of rock salt.
  8. Place the lid on the bowl securely, and shake the bowl CONTINUOUSLY for about 15 minutes. You have to shake it without stopping in order for the ice cream to harden.

Variations: Anything you think would be a good Ice Cream flavor can be added to this recipe.

Try instant coffee crystals, fresh fruits, candy pieces, sprinkles, or your favorite flavored syrup. Use your imagination!
