Next, skip two spaces and type your profession:

centered and capitalized, as shown.

Then skip two spaces and list your qualifications.

These will include any experience you have in a clinical setting, whether in a home, at a medical office, or at a hospital.

If you don't have any training or experience in medical assistance, you can gain experience by landing an entry level administrative position in a clinic or hospital, or by finding an employer who is willing to train you.

Unlike in the field of Nursing, a license is not (necessarily) required to work as a Medical Assistant.

Here's how a list of qualifications might look on a professional Medical Assistant Resume (align your qualifications to the left of the page):

(list each school like this, starting with your most recent educational experience)

Name of School

Area(s) of Study

Degree Earned, if any

(list each job like this, starting with your most recent position)

From-To Dates

Name of Business

Reason for Leaving

Employer Name / Employer Contact info

To land a job as a Medical Assistant, list every non-licensed task relevant to working in a clinical or hospital setting. Place special focus on cleaning and patient care.

Applicable skills for a Medical Assistant include sterilization, First Aid (including CPR), blood pressure readings, appointment setting, record keeping, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.

You can also list important personality traits like punctuality, reliability, advanced interpersonal skills, and extreme attention to detail, for example.

Near the bottom of the page, type

references available on request

in italics and aligned to the center.

Print a copy and carefully review your completed Medical Assistant Resume. An error-free resume is essential.

That's really all there is to creating a professional resume to gain employment as a Medical Assistant at hospitals and clinical practices anywhere in America.
